What a great time this year at the MAPRA Conference! This was my first time to attend MAPRA (so glad to meet all of you!), and my first time in Philadelphia. I tried to get the full experience. My friend Margaret LaBattaglia took me for a tour around the city, and we had a great time sightseeing in the City of Brotherly Love. We visited the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, the Federal Reserve, and even the ACP building that Margaret worked at for so many years, but the coup de grace was our trip to Jim’s for the true taste of Philly—cheesesteak! I never knew my vocabulary was missing two very important words: “whiz wit.” YUMMMMMMM!
Networking was great! I really enjoyed making new friends, and putting faces and names together for some in-house recruiters I used to work with back in my past life at a locums agency. LocumsMart sponsored the nighttime event on the Rooftop Deck at City Tap House, and I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. Beautiful weather, cornhole contests, and large-sized beer pong—who could ask for more? As a New York Giants fan, it is difficult to admit, but I really enjoyed my time in the city of last year’s Super Bowl Champions.
Courtney did a fantastic job, and I can’t thank her enough for her efforts this year. Her pink jacket was super cute! In particular, I was appreciative of the recognition given to LocumsMart for being the lunch sponsor. Finally, congrats to Stew Sambel, who was the lucky winner of LocumsMart’s giveaway, a $100 gift card. I can’t wait to be back with everyone next year!
