There are lots of agencies and vendor management systems available, so how are we different?
We’re different from an agency because we’re not an agency. Clear as mud, right?
Let me explain…
First, the LocumsMart system is a tool that allows healthcare organizations to manage their relationships with vendors. We don’t function like an agency, not even close. We don’t recruit physicians, search for open positions, present candidates, or negotiate contracts. We aren’t trying to sell you on a specific provider for a need that you have open. Instead, our focus is on giving you a place to connect with multiple vendors, so that you have a variety of providers to choose from.
Second, our portal is 100% vendor neutral, meaning that we don’t give special treatment or preference to one agency over another, or even one candidate over another. Our members are always free to choose who they want to work with – whether it be one or many vendors – because we don’t have a horse in the race. We’re just focused on getting everyone to the finish line faster. Use the same vendors you always have, or take advantage of the variety and shop around. It’s completely up to you.
Lastly, contracts for providers are always directly between the member and the vendor; we just facilitate that process. We want to help make your job easier, so we stay out of the way and let you manage your vendors how you want. Our members have complete control over their provider contracts; we just created a centralized place for them to store and manage all of that information.
We’re not an agency (been there, done that) and we don’t intend on becoming one. Instead, we’re breaking all the rules and focusing on giving HCOs better options and greater access. Locums may be a necessity in the healthcare industry, but a clunky, inefficient system is not. We’re here to change that.
